Our Work

We educate. We nourish. We stay the course.

Early Childhood & Primary Education

Structured, interactive learning from Play Group (age 3) to Grade 4 (age 9). Small classes (max 20) follow the Kenyan curriculum enriched with music, storytelling, movement, and play.

Daily Nutrition

Porridge every morning and a hot lunch every day — for many, the only meals they receive. Meals ease pressure at home and improve focus and dignity.

Emotional & Family Support

We know each child and family by name. We partner with parents, offer emergency support when needed, and teach life skills, hygiene, and social‑emotional growth.

Dedicated Teachers

Behind every child’s progress is a team of dedicated, caring teachers. They nurture not only academics but also confidence, kindness, and resilience. Most of our staff come from the same communities as our students, and their commitment runs deep. While they receive only a small but regular wage, this stability is made possible through our sponsor program. Supporting Cornerstone means supporting the teachers who make transformation possible every single day.

Continuity: From Age 3 to Young Adulthood

After Grade 4, students move on to partner schools — Nyota Ing’Arayo (Grades 5–6) and Maweni Junior Secondary (Grades 7–9). Cornerstone helps families and sponsors stay connected during this transition, encouraging continued support where possible.

You can be the reason a child stays in school.
